EPDs
What is an EPD?
An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is like a "health check for a product's impact on the environment. Zumtobel luminaires uncovered – from power consumption and material usage to recycling potential and environmental impact. EPDs provide transparent data for certifications and help you make smart and sustainable lighting decisions, building by building.
Our objectives for sustainable development
Transparency across the entire life cycle
Zumtobel reflects on over ten years of experience with EPDs and considers product transparency to be a core component of our sustainability commitment. We provide EPDs for our luminaires for their entire lifecycle, covering materials, manufacturing, transport, use and disposal. By openly communicating about the environmental impact of our products, through detailed product passports, for example, we help our customers make informed and sustainable decisions, successfully supporting green construction projects worldwide.
Sustainability is rewarding.
Forming AG Project
To have a positive effect on the environmental impact of renovating the two installation halls, the Swiss company engaged an external energy consultant to significantly reduce CO₂ consumption in production. The energy modernisation not only allows Forming AG to achieve its sustainability goals, but also helps it to qualify for various grants and incentives.
