The CAELA lighting system stands out with its exceptionally slim profile of only 57 mm in height. This product family combines Edge-Lit LED technology with maximum flexibility: choose between wall, ceiling, or variable pendant suspension. The variety of shapes — from elegantly round to clearly square — combined with various surface finishes and the choice between symmetrical and asymmetrical light distribution makes CAELA the ideal solution for demanding lighting concepts.
Design follows function
Product development of the CAELA luminaire was triggered by newly developed Edge-Lit technology. Precisely processed diffuser material enables accurate dispersion of the emitted light. While intelligent arrangement of the components simultaneously allows for a low installation height. The product family comprises wall, ceiling, and pendant luminaires. Emphasis was placed on minimising tools and ensuring compatibility. To achieve a design that is as frameless and clear as possible, the housing recedes into the background, allowing the emitting surface to appear as a flat plane. Can the surface-mounted version also be suspended?
No, the CAELA surface-mounted version and the pendant luminaire are two distinct variants of the modular lighting system. The surface-mounted version has been specially designed for direct wall and ceiling installation. For a suspended installation, we recommend the CAELA pendant luminaire, which is equipped with a variable pendant suspension.
Is there an emergency lighting version for the CAELA lighting system?
An emergency lighting version can be obtained through our Custom Product Development Service (CPD). The gear tray of this special version is twice as deep as the standard version of the ultra-slim luminaire to integrate Edge-Lit LED technology with emergency lighting components.
