Lighting concept for modern workspaces
EPR Architects revitalised a Victorian building in the heart of London with the aim of creating a modern, inspiring, and climate-conscious work environment. The new headquarters should not only meet the highest design standards but also be functionally convincing and Net-Zero compatible. They were seeking the right partner for their lighting solution - one who understands architecture, conceptualises light – and intelligently integrates both.

Lighting design that shapes the atmosphere and identity.
Zumtobel developed a finely attuned lighting concept that preserves the historical character of the building while integrating modern lighting quality. The lighting emphasises architectural details, creates visual calm for focused work, and allows for flexible scenarios for meetings, events, and creative processes. Light becomes atmosphere – clear, adaptive, integrated into architecture.
Light with character and precision
Among others, SLOTLIGHT infinity was used for linear light guidance, VIVO and PANOS infinity for targeted accents, and ONDARIA and LINARIA for uniform general lighting. The luminaires combine energy efficiency with design precision – they support the room zones, create highlights, and blend subtly into the exposed concrete aesthetics of the building.
Smart lighting for a sustainable future
The LITECOM lighting management system centrally controls, adjusts, and analyses the lighting for maximum efficiency and user-centric scenarios. The deployed technologies contribute to BREEAM certification, meet WELL criteria, and significantly reduce power consumption. The lighting solution therefore actively contributes to the office's ESG strategy.
